You could taste a hint of lemon, and a hint of the original dandelion (as you would have thought it would have tasted). However, it also had a familiar taste that we can't put our finger on. Julia says it was almost like a peach flavor. Overall we all love it though! I'm sure your girls would love to make it - it was fun for us to go picking the dandelions in the backyard with a basket! We only did a 1/2 batch of that recipe and it made 3 1/2 jelly jars. Maybe start with something small like that? Enjoy! It’s hard to explain exactly what it tasted like.
