Ignorance Kills
Just because you aren’t aware of something, does not mean that it is not happening.
I’ve known about some of the things that are alarming surrounding a company called Monsanto. Some of you have heard me get rather upset about what they are doing with seed and plant crops. What I didn’t know was the full extent of the story.
A documentary was released in France on March 11, 2008. It is called “Le Monde selon Monsanto” or “The World According to Monsanto.” I decided I should watch it to see what it had to say. There was originally a few copies of it available on Google Video, but they have since been removed. I was able to find it on YouTube as a series of videos (it was split up into numerous parts). There were 12 parts, all of which carrying the new name “Shocking World by Monsanto.”
This documentary started off a bit slow, and relied heavily on Google imagery, but as it went on it brought on more and more interviewees. The documentation and commentary spoke of some very troubling issues. I usually watch documentaries with a fairly keen eye since I know many times they tend to be slanted. All I can say for this documentary is that it could be incredibly slanted and it would still scare me to death. I firmly believe that Americans, do not have any idea what is going on with our food sources … not in the least.
I strongly urge everyone to at least become mildly aware of what is going on with our food supply, genetically modified food, food gene patents, etc. If you think this doesn’t affect you greatly already, then I am sorry to inform you that you are dead wrong.
